Someone bought me a bunch of cut roses from Woolies. So of course, I decided to press them… they came out beautifully, and are antiquing beautifully too!

This flower has been pressed using the traditional method of flower pressing. It has then been placed on to Black Fabriano card and framed in a handmade solid oak frame by local artisan carpenter, Norman Angel. Museum quality glass has been used, helping to prevent the flower from being over exposed to sunlight.

It is worth noting however, that pressed flowers do fade over time, which should be considered part of their natural beauty and aesthetic. To avoid fading, pressed flowers (even those behind museum glass) should avoid being placed in direct sunlight.
