Roadside beauties VII
R1,100.00
I have found that so many of the most exquisite flowers lie by the side of the road (call them weeds if you like). They are not chosen to be planted in a garden, nor do they scream to be looked at. They simply exist, providing the kind of beauty that gets nonchalantly absorbed in our daily meanderings around the planet.
This flower has been pressed using the traditional method of flower pressing. It has then been placed on to Black Fabriano card and framed in a handmade solid oak frame by local artisan carpenter, Norman Angel. Museum quality glass has been used, helping to prevent the flower from being over exposed to sunlight.
It is worth noting however, that pressed flowers do fade over time, which should be considered part of their natural beauty and aesthetic. To avoid fading, pressed flowers (even those behind museum glass) should avoid being placed in direct sunlight.
Framed dimensions, 218mm x 218mm.
