This Black-Eyed Susan has been pressed using traditional flower pressing methods. It has then placed on to white Fabriano and framed in a handmade solid oak frame. Each frame is fitted with museum glass, aimed at preserving the integrity of the flowers’ colour. However, the beauty of pressed flowers is that they do fade, and indeed it should be expected over time. It can be slowed down though, by avoiding being placed in direct sunlight.
The dimensions of these framed pieces are approx 317mm x 440mm.
Scientfic names of each flower are handwritten on each piece.
